WHAT IS COLD PRESSED JUICE? 

Juicing is a two step process that grinds and presses fresh produce to release the fluids, all while remaining cold to preserve the nutritional value. 

 

 

WHAT SHOULD I DO? 

 

Relax. Go about your everyday life like you normally do. For a few days before you begin your cleanse , try to eliminate alcoholic beverages, carbonated drinks completely, and cut out as much processed foods as possible.

 

Do not over stress your digestive system by eating more than usual just because you are going on a cleanse. Drink plenty of water, this will gently prepare your body for the detoxification process. If you have any health concerns, please consult with your primary care physician to see if our juices are right for you. 

 

WHEN IS IT BEST TO DRINK MY JUICE? 

 

This is entirely up to your personal schedule. We recommend starting your first juice right after you wake up and your last juice approximately two hours prior to bedtime. In between, be sure to space out each juice equally so that you have something to drink every couple of hours and be sure to drink plenty of water in between!

 

 

HOW WILL I FEEL? 

 

We are all biologically different and each individual responds differently to juicing. Many people have noticed more energy, focused mind, better mood, and less stomach bloating.

First timers may crave for solid food, especially in the beginning, but this craving is usually not hunger. Try to strategically pace yourself throughout the day while drinking the jars in order to avoid feeling hungry. You will be drinking plenty of water in between the juices to help flush the waste out. With this being said, it is normal to take numerous bathroom breaks. Basically, a long road trip would not be an ideal time to start a juice cleanse.

 

It is rare, but some people might experience flu like symptoms, such as,  headache, nausea, dizziness, or weakness during a cleanse. These are signs that your system is eliminating the accumulated toxins, having caffeine cravings or a lack of sodium. Drinking lots of water will help ease the symptoms. Or try drinking pure coconut water to increase your sodium intake. If the symptoms persist and being to aggravate stop the cleanse immediately and consult your medical provider. 

 

 

CAN I EAT?

 

It is completely normal for first timers to feel hungry. If desperately feel the need to have some solid food try to still eat clean and raw. Such as; fruits, fresh salads, baby carrots, celery sticks, etc. 

 

It is important to completely eliminate any alcohol, coffee, carbonated or caffeinated beverages during and a couple of days before and after juicing, however you can drink caffeine free herbal tea, as it will assist with the cleansing. Feel free to consult your JuiceTista about herbal teas recommendations. 

 

SHOULD I WORKOUT? 

 

You can exercise during a juice cleanse. It is recommended to do light and relaxing exercises, such as, yoga and walking to promote circulation. However, try to avoid doing too much because although you will have lots of energy your body is still adjusting to this new diet, give it a nice break. 

 

WHO IS NOT SUITABLE FOR A JUICE CLEANSE? 

 

While juicing provides enormous health benefits, it is not suitable for everyone. Our juices do you have restrictions of protein and fat , also do not have any added preservatives. They are also unpasteurized, so we do not recommend juice cleansing to breast-feeding women. It is also not advised for children under 18, for people with compromised immune systems, diabetic or suffering from kidney or liver diseases,  if you are taking blood thinners, chemotherapy, blood-pressure or steroid medications.

WHAT IS NEXT, AFTER JUICING? 

 

Congratulations to your elevated level of health! You should be very proud of yourself, however, do not celebrate by eating all the food. It is important that you gradually transition back to consuming caffeinated, carbonated, and alcoholic products. Remember juicing should be your stepping stone to re-evaluate your old eating habits and lead you into a healthier lifestyle. You should mentally crave less for greasy, processed foods and unhealthy beverages, while appreciating and maintaining the health benefits juicing and eating healthy bring. 

 

WILL I LOOSE WIEGHT? 

 

Our juices are meant to bring some nourishment into your daily life. We do not believe in starving yourself to lose weight and we promote balance and self love. However some people do lose a couple pounds after juicing. This should be a kickstart for you to become more self-aware about the benefits eating healthy brings to you. It is to assist with your transition into a healthy lifestyle.

 

Don’t go on a diet, just eat healthy, and your body will respond positively!
